The Story: God is Faithful
In a world that often feels cold and unforgiving, it’s easy to feel alone. We question whether anyone truly cares about us, and if anyone is looking out for us. But the beauty of the Christian faith is that we serve a God who is not only faithful, but He also saves us and places people in our lives to guide us according to His plans. Here are three ways that God shows His faithfulness to us.
1. By Saving Us
God shows His faithfulness to us by saving us from our sin. “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace we are saved” (Ephesians 2:4-5). We did not deserve to be saved; in fact, we were dead in our sin. But because of His great love for us, He sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins to forgive us and give us eternal life. This is the ultimate display of God’s faithfulness to us!
2. By Placing People in Our Lives
Another way that God shows His faithfulness to us is by the people He places in our lives who teach us, challenge us, and help us grow. Other times, it might mean taking away people or circumstances that are harmful to us. Either way, we can trust that He knows what’s best for us and He will never leave or forsake us.
3. By Loving Us Unconditionally
Last, God shows His faithfulness by loving us unconditionally—even when we don’t deserve it. “But God shows his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Even though we are sinners—which means we fall short of His glory—He loved us enough to die for our sins so that we can be reconciled back to Him. That is amazing grace! And because of His great love for use, we can have confidence that He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). As believers, no matter what happens in this life, God’s love endures forever.
No matter what you are facing today, remember that you serve a faithful God who loves you unconditionally! He has saved you from your sin and has good plans for your life. So don’t lose heart; trust in Him and lean on Him for strength. And always remember His great love for you—a love that endures forever!
